Aurelia S. Schulz
Aurelia S. Schulz, 85, of Merrill died Monday, Jan. 31, 2005, under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Pine Crest Nursing Home, Merrill.
Aurelia was born March 22, 1919, in Athens, daughter of the late William and Adeline (Braun) Laufer. She was married to Ambrose Neuens for 27 years. In 1980, she married Lylas Schulz in Green Bay. He preceded her in death.
Aurelia had owned and operated Neuens' Bar for more than 10 years. Later, she worked in Green Bay as the head dietitian in a nursing home. For 12 years she gave private nursing care. Aurelia was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church in Merrill, and a former member of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Green Bay. She enjoyed playing cards and spoiling her grandchildren. Aurelia was a wonderful mother and grandmother who always put her family first.
Survivors include three daughters, Jeanne (Milton) Krause of Merrill, Colette Neuens and Marilyn (Rick) Seitzer, all of Green Bay; six grandchildren, Brenda (Jamie) Barrone of Luxemburg, Linda Krause of Merrill, Stacy (Kenny) Comer, Mindy (Dylan Flick) Staffen and Cole Seitzer, all of Green Bay, and Corrie Neuens of Aurora, Ill.; two step grandchildren, Michelle (Todd) Techmeier and Kim Seitzer, all of Green Bay; eight great-grandchildren, Pete (Michelle) Staroska of Tucson, Ariz., Eric (Jessica Delaney) Hansen and Heather Henrichs, all of Green Bay, Bryce Barrone of Luxemburg, Amaya Comer and Bailee, Cayden and Ian Flick, all of Green Bay; two step grandchildren, Lance Techmeier and Morgan Drown, both of Green Bay; three sisters, Gardie (Rollie) Weise of Green Bay, Louise Neubauer of Merrill, and Caroline Kottke of Athens; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lylas; two sisters, Vernette Harder and Marie Ferris; and one infant son.
Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 3, 2005, at St. Francis Catholic Church, Merrill. Burial will be in Snow Hill Cemetery, town of Scott. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday, all at Waid Funeral Home, Merrill.
