Otto F. Werner

Otto F. Werner, 90, 702 E. Eighth St., Merrill, died Monday, Dec. 5, 2005, at Pine Crest Nursing Home in Merrill under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, was a union commercial carpenter and had worked with Wergin Construction for more than 30 years. Survivors included his daughter, Debra Gartzke, Kaukauna; two sons, Russell and Douglas Werner, both of Merrill; five grandchildren; one great-grandson; and one sister, Alma Sanders, Merrill.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. John Lutheran Church in Merrill. Burial will be in Luther Memorial Church Cemetery in the town of Russell. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday at Taylor-Stine Funeral Home in Merrill and after 9:30 a.m. Friday at the church.

Taylor-Stine Funeral Home in Merrill is assisting the family.
