Roger A. Bender

Roger A. Bender, 66, Tomahawk, died Saturday, May 21, 2005, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Tomahawk.

Roger served in the U.S. Navy as a Navy SEAL from 1955 until his retirement in 1976.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon (Abell) Bender, Tomahawk; two daughters, Debbie (Kevin) Peterson, Tripoli, and Chris Ellis, Mundelein, Ill.; three sisters and one brother; and two granddaughters and one great-grandson.

A time for sharing memories will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday at the Clear Lake Condo Recreation Building in Tomahawk, where there will be a veteran's tribute service at 4 p.m.

Krueger & Sons Funeral Home, Tomahawk, is assisting the family.
