Herman 'Hank' Lehnherr

Tomahawk - Herman "Hank" Lehnherr, 94, of Tomahawk died Sunday, Jan. 23, 2005, at Riverview Rehab and Care in Tomahawk.

Services were at 11 a.m. today at Grace Lutheran Church. The family received friends from 9:30 a.m. until service time today at the church.

Burial will be in the spring in Greenwood Cemetery in Tomahawk.

Hank was born Dec. 5, 1910, in Green County to Gotlieb and Margarite Lehnherr. He married Bernice Bartell in 1936 in Marshfield. Hank grew up in the Pittsville area, and later in Marshfield. He started farming in the Nasonville area in 1939, and in 1947 he moved to the New Glarus area where he farmed for three years. In 1950, he moved to Madison and was employed with the University of Wisconsin Veterinary Science Program for 25 years, retiring in 1976.

Survivors include his wife, Bernice Lehnherr of Tomahawk; his son, Dave (Marleen) Lehnherr of Tomahawk and Florida; two granddaughters; and two great-grandsons.
