Margaret "Peggy" VanRyen

Margaret "Peggy" VanRyen, passed peacefully Friday evening, July 9, 2004.

She was born May 2, 1920 in Parrish to the late Benjamin and Elizabeth DeWeert.

She married Bernard "Nort" VanRyen in 1936 in Harrison. Peggy lived in the Parrish area all of her life and was well known for her quilt making and her gladiola gardens.

She is survived by four daughters Marilyn (Jerome) Dorn of Hortonville; Nancy (George) Scholz of Eagle River, Janice (John) Juedes of Parrish and Kathleen (George) Wawrzyniak of Franklin; one son, Donald (Cynthia) VanRyen of Nashville, Tenn.; one brother, Robert DeWeert of Neenah; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, four brothers, three sisters and a grandson.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Harrison. The Rev. Edward Powell will officiate with interment to follow at St. Augustine cemetery in Harrison. The family will receive friends at the church Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m.

Krueger and Sons Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
