Dorothianne Kilinski
Dorothianne Kilinski, 2501 N. 28th Ave., Wausau, died Wednesday, March 16, 2005, at her home.
She was born in Waukegan, Ill., daughter of the late Major and Grace (Gordon) Rebella. On Oct. 18, 1958, she married Phillip Kilinski in Mellen. He survives.
Dee moved to Mellen with her family, where she graduated from high school. She continued her education at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, earning her bachelor's degree in English and speech. She taught high school in Merrill and Tomahawk.
She interned at Melody Top Theater in Detroit, where she continued her studies in musical theater. Among her many talents, she was a dancer and actor with most memorable roles being Sally Bowles in "Cabaret" and Miss Hannigan in "Annie." She served on the Board of Directors of Community Theater and also was a chorus member. Among many things, she enjoyed working with children. Dee was past president of the Central Wisconsin Children's Theater and directed the holiday productions and the first major production at the Grand Theater, "Peter Pan." She was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church and the Gandite Choir.
Among her many interests, she enjoyed reading, needlework, Packers games, spending time up north at their cottage in the Minocqua area, and attending her grandchildren's sporting events and concerts. But most of all, she loved her husband and family, and was happiest organizing events and get-togethers for family and friends.
Survivors include her husband, Phillip; two sons, Mike (Sharon) Kilinski and Tom (Lori) Kilinski; one daughter, Michele (Mike) Seager; one daughter-in-law, Sandy Kilinski; six grandchildren, Korey Kilinski, Christopher, Matthew and Alexandra Seager, Andrew and Katie Kilinski; one sister, Pat (Robert) Southers; and nieces and nephews.
