Harold and Rosalie (Kleinschmidt) Wendt were married January 24, 1942 at the home of Rosalie’s parents, Robert and Louisa Kleinschmidt, Sr. in the town of Scott by Rev. William Kohn. Robert and Luella (Weide) Wendt were the attendants.
The couple celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with their children, Norma Wendt, Virgil and Mae Wendt, Jack Wend, and Glen and Brenda Wendt, all of Merrill. Joining the celebration where their grandchildren, Melissa and Tom Hardinger, Marshfield, and Jesse and Crystal Wendt, Horsham, Pennsylvania; and great-granddaughter, Carissa Wendt.
The couple farmed in the Town of Corning, all their lives. Harold enjoyed farming and working in the woods, and his Allis Chalmers Model B tractor. Rosalie enjoys gardening, flowers, reading and embroidery work. They both enjoy spending time with their family.
Rosalie and Harold are members of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in the Town of Corning.
