John Borngesser, proprietor of meat market, Merrill, was born in Hartford, Wis., Feb. 26, 1858. He lived there with his parents until he was sixteen years of age, then they located in Weyauwega. He was there with them, at different times, until April 13, 1881, at which time he began his present business in Merrill. He was married in Quinnesee, Mich., Feb. 21, 1881, to Amanda D. Tourtlott, who was born in Oconto, October 5, 1853.
