David Finn, contractor and builder, lumber and farmer, Merrill. Settled with his parents in Oconomowoc, in the spring of 1852, they lived there until the fall of 1859, and then moved into the town of Texas, Marathon County., they lived there until the organization of Lincoln County, when the subject of our sketch moved into the Town of Pine River, where he at present resides. He was elected Superintendent of Schools in the fall of 1874, which office he held for six years. He has held several town offices also. He was born in New York City, April 23, 1851. Mr. Finn established the Northern Wisconsin News, and was proprietor of the same until 1880, at Merrill.
