Rosalie R. Wendt

Rosalie R. Wendt, aged 83, Merrill, Wisconsin died April 21, 2004 at the Good Samarian Health Center under the Comfort Care and Hospice Services.

She was born October 4, 1920 in the town of Scott, Wisconsin to Robert and Louisa (Bartelt) Kleinschmidt. She married Harold Wendt on January 24, 1942 in the town of Scott.

Rosalie and her husband farmed in the town of Corning on the farm they had started. They raised their family there and their sons continue to operate the home farm. She enjoyed gardening, her flowers, embroidering, working at the church with the other ladies, her chickens, and especially spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Harold Wendt, Merrill; three sons, Virgil (Mae) Wendt, Merrill; Jack Wendt, Merrill; and Glen (Brenda) Wendt, Merrill; son daughter, Norma Wendt, Merrill; two grandchildren, Melissa (Tom) Hardinger, Marshfield, and Jesse (Crystal) Wendt, Horsham, Pennsylvania; and two great grandchildren, Carissa Wendt and Nicholas Hardinger. Rosalie was preceded in death by seven sisters, Amalia, Loretta, Ella, Louise, Adelia, Frieda, and Dorthea; and four brothers, Leonard, Robert, Alfred and Wilbert.

Services were held on April 24, 2004 at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Rev. Joel Danner officiated with burial in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in the town of Corning. The Waid Funeral Home assisted the family with the arrangements.
