Karl Haffemann

Karl E. Haffemann, 81, 2100 E. Sixth St., Merrill, died Monday, Feb. 2, 2004, under the care of Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Pine Crest Nursing Home, Merrill.

Karl retired in 1988 as the manager of the Social and Sick Tavern in Merrill. He also worked at the former Lincoln Cleaners, Merrill, for many years.

Survivors include his wife; Lorna (Schmidt) Haffemann, Merrill; one daughter Dawn (Fred) Kleinschmidt, Merrill; two sons, James (Rosemary) Haffemann, Houston, and Brian (Barbara) Haffemann, Merrill; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Merrill. Burial will be in Merrill Memorial Park. Visitation will be Thursday beginning at noon at the church. Taylor and Stine Funeral Home, Merrill, is assisting the family with arrangements.
