Robert H. Kleinschmidt, Jr.

Robert H. Kleinschmidt, Jr., 80, of W6204 Highway Z, Merrill, died Saturday, Sept. 12, 1998, at Good Samaritan Health Center; Merrill.

He was born May 4, 1918, in the Town of Scott, son of the late Robert and Louise (Bartelt) Kleinschmidt, Sr. He married Hilda Wendt on Oct. 25, 1941. She survives.

Robert had farmed in the Town of Scott and had also been employed at Merrill Manufacturing. He enjoyed working in the yard, listening to polka music, following the Brewers and bird watching. His most memorable times were being on the farm with his dear wife Hilda and his children and family all gathered together.

Survivors include his wife Hilda Kleinschmidt, Merrill; a daughter, Sally Kleinschmidt, Merrill; DuWayne (Diane) Kleinschmidt, Wausau; two sisters Loretta Kleinschmidt, Cedarburg and Rosalie (Harold) Wendt, Merrill; one grandson, Robert (Jayne) Kleinschmidt, Wausau; and one granddaughter, Jennifer (Joel Chandler) Kleinschmidt, Wausau.

He was preceded in death by his parents; six sisters; and three brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, 1998 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Merrill. Rev. Kenneth Albers will officiate. Interment will be in St. Paul's Cemetery; Town of Scott. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15, 1998 and again from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at the church.

Pallbearers will be Richard Kleinschmidt, Mike Kleinschmidt, Elmer Nelson, Ronald Kunke, Virgil Wendt and Allen Schult.

Waid Funeral Home, Merrill is assisting the family with arrangements.
