Gordon L. Woller, 63, 13508 Sunny Hill Lane, Merrill, died Sunday, Jan. 25, 2004, under the care of Comfort Care and Hospice Services at his home.

Survivors include his wife, Jalaine (Kneiss) Woller, Merrill; one daughter, Lisa Koening, Green Bay; one daughter-in-law, Dawn Woller, Merrill; four sons, Dean (Linda) Woller and Jon (Lynn) Woller, all of Merrill, Todd (Lana) Woller, Pleasant Prairie, and Kent (Tami) Woller, Belleville; 17 grandchildren; four sisters, Beatrice Marquardt, Merrill, Janet (LaVern) Hanke, Waupaca, Joyce Plaza, Kronenwetter, and Margaret (Tom) Becker, Waterford; one sister-in-law, Elida Woller, Merrill; and two brothers, Denvert (Patsy) Woller, Merrill, and Eugene (Donna) Woller, Mount Horeb.

Gordon L. Woller

Gordon L. Woller, 63, of 13508 Sunny Hill Lane, Merrill, town of Berlin, Marathon County, died Sunday, Jan. 25, 2004, at his home under the care of Comfort Care and Hospice Services.

Gordon was born March 7, 1940, in the town of Corning, the son of the late Leonard and Mildred (Wendt) Woller. He married Jalaine Kniess on Feb. 9, 1958, at Trinity Lutheran Church, town of Berlin. She survives.

Gordon had been a dairy farmer and logger in the town of Berlin. He also did custom fieldwork around the area. Gordon enjoyed deer hunting, fishing in his pond with his grandchildren, playing cards, and driving his John Deere Gator. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Gordon was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church, town of Berlin, and had served on various committees at the church.

Survivors, besides his wife Jalaine of Merrill, include his mother-in-law, Elvera Kniess, Wausau; one daughter, Lisa Koenig, Green Bay; a daughter-in-law, Dawn Woller, Merrill; four sons, Dean (Linda) Woller, Merrill, Todd (Lana) Woller, Pleasant Prairie, Jon (Lynn) Woller, Merrill, and Kent (Tami) Woller, Belleville; 17 grandchildren; four sisters, Beatrice Marquardt, Merrill, Janet (LaVern) Hanke, Waupaca, Joyce Plaza, Kronenwetter, and Margaret (Tom) Becker, Waterford; one sister-in-law, Elida Woller, Merrill; two brothers, Denvert (Patsy) Woller, Merrill, and Eugene (Donna) Woller, Mount Horeb; and one brother-in-law, Gerald (Laura) Kniess, Merrill.

Gordon was preceded in death by one son, Craig Woller; one granddaughter, Angela Woller; his father-in-law, Clifford Kniess; one brother, Kenneth Woller; and two brothers-in-law, Lyle Marquardt and Norman Plaza.

Gordon's funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2004, at Trinity Lutheran Church, town of Berlin. The Rev. Jeffrey Schmidt will officiate. Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery, town of Berlin. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the Taylor and Stine Funeral Home, Merrill, and Wednesday at the church beginning at 9 a.m.
