Ursula Mueller

Ursula Mueller, 78, of 2600 E. Main St., Merrill, died Saturday, Nov. 19, 2005, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

Ursula was born March 18, 1927, in Germany, daughter of the late August and Elsie (Lauckert) Paul. She and her family came to the United States in 1930, and settled in the town of Pine River. Ursula was a homemaker. She enjoyed polka dancing and was a member of the Wisconsin Polka Club. She was a volunteer at the Merrill Senior Center and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Merrill.

Survivors include her daughter, Judith "Judy" Shaffer, Hooper, Utah; two grandchildren, Stacy Shaffer and Michael Shaffer, both of Hooper, Utah; one great-granddaughter, Kaylee Watt, Hooper, Utah; three sisters, Giesela Laatsch and Irma Stine, both of Merrill, and Joyce (Jerry) Jawson, Berlin; six brothers, Alfred Paul, Marshfield, Walter Paul, Beloit, Herbert (Betty) Paul, Kimberly, Frederick (Beverly) Paul, Sterling Heights, Mich., David (Jan) Paul, Neenah, and Michael Paul, Greenleaf; and her caregivers and special friends, Patricia and Doran Karbowski and their daugther, Katarina Karbowski, all of Merrill. Ursula is preceded in death by two sisters, Adeline Paul and Margaret Goehe; and also by three brothers, Robert, Lester and Donald Paul.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2005, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Merrill. The Rev. Brian Stolarczyk will officiate. Burial will be in Merrill Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Tuesday at Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill, and after 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
