"Ken" Schubert, 70, N2538 Highway 17, Merrill, died Tuesday, April 20, 2004, at Community Health Care Wausau Hospital in the Palliative Care Unit under the care of Comfort Care and Hospice Services. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He worked for the former Anson & Gilkey Co., Merrill, and Hurd Millwork, Merrill, until his retirement. Survivors include his wife, Eunice Schubert, Merrill; one son, Randy (Margaret) Graap, Federal Way, Wash.; two grandchildren; two sisters, Bonnie (William) Mueller, Lakewood, Ohio, and Mary (Herbert) Falk, Merrill; three brothers, Laurence (Virginia) Schubert, Fort Wayne, Ind., Dale Schubert, Auburn, Wash., and Jack (Sharon) Schubert, Merrill; and many other relatives and friends. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Stephen's United Church of Christ, Merrill. Burial will be in Merrill Memorial Park, with graveside military rites conducted by the VFW Post No. 1638, Merrill. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Taylor & Stine Funeral Home, Merrill, and will begin again at 9 a.m. Monday at the church. *Birth date taken from the SSDI.
