DUDLEY
Dudley - On Prairie River, eighteen miles northeast of Merrill. A new settlement. Two and one-half years ago it was an unbroken wilderness; now it is dotted with dwellings and openings for farms. Fifty families already home here. William West, Henry Dudley, M. M. Eastman, E. E. Sweet and others came from Winnebago and Calumet Counties.
