Springview is the county seat of Keya Paha county. The territory comprising this county was cut off from Brown in November 1885. Springview is located in the south central part and is 25 miles distant from Ainsworth, the nearest railway station. The town commands the bulk of the trade of the entire county, owing to its location and also to the number of first class merchants here. The town is rapidly improving and several new buildings are projected. The Springview Republican, H. J. Skinner, Publisher, is the local newspaper here. There are two daily mails by stage from Bassett and Ainsworth. Population, 400.
