Cornell, Calpt. H. M. Of Sidney Landing is in the City in quest of tarpaulin to cover freight. The late cut-off opposite Hanburg landing has ruined his business in that place. County Seat Seward County. Question was voted on at the last general election and the citizens failed to make a choice says information from a letter from Camden, Seward Co., Dec. 26, '67. A special election was then held on Nov. 16, and Seward at the mouth of Plum Creek received a majority of votes cast; but the Board of Canvassors in figuring up the result threw out some of the votes on plea of illegality and gave the county seat to Milford. The county commissioners, Dec. 14, overhauled the election returns and the action of the Board of Canvassers and ordered a new election to be held Febr. 4k, 1868 on account of informalities and illegalities in the late election.
