Disease, Cattle. Which has killed thousands of cattle during the year, is said to be communicated by the tick and sporules. The spare is simply the seed of a microscope parasite growing upon grasses of warm climates. It is eaten by the cattle in grazing, passes into the blood, bile and other fluids, and. out by the excretions in a microscopic form and attaches itself again to other grasses. This theory is supported by Dr.. Clendenin of Cincinnati and Dr. Morris of New York, who have given the subject very careful investigation. Nebraska City News 12-21-68 2-1

Disease, Livestock The Southern Cultivator is of the opinion that the cause of the fever in cattle from Texas is owing solely to a change in climate. Cattle taken from the upland regions to low ones, will generally have the fever and die, while those broad and reared there will not be affected by the fever but rarely if at all. Cattle taken from a warm section to a cold one would be likely to suffer in the same way. Nebraska City News 6-10-67 3-3
