Geology Nebraska City. At a distance of about 100 feet below the general level of the country, the Coal Mining Company in their shaft, have struck a stratum of rock eighteen inches in thickness, about which there are various opinions. Some pronounce it lithographic stone, others slate, others marble and others a sort of white limestone.
