ORRIN R. PITNEY.


   ORRIN R. PITNEY, was elected to the state senate by the Fusion forces of the twenty-sixth district, comprising Nuckolls, Webster, and Franklin counties. He was born in Ohio, November 8, 1854, and located in this state in the year 1870, coming from the state of Iowa. He is married and has a family of four children. His present address is Inavale, Webster county, where he is engaged in farming. He is a Populist and has taken an active interest in the reform movement..

FRANK T. RANSOM.


   FRANK T. RANSOM, one of Douglas county's state senators, is a Silver Republican and was elected by the Fusion forces. He was born August 13, 1851, in St. Joe, Mo., coming to Nebraska from that city in the year 1877. Mr. Ransom is married, resides in the city of Omaha where he enjoys an extensive law practice. He was a member of the Nebraska house of representatives in 1881, state senator in 1889 and 1897, and elected to this, the twenty-seventh session.

HENRY REUTING.


   HENRY REUTING, member of the state senate from Clay and Hamilton counties, the twenty-fifth district, was elected by the Fusion forces. He was born in Calumet county, Wisconsin, in 1861, coming from that state to Nebraska in 1876. He married November 27, 1884, Mary A. Olma; resides at Saronville, Clay county, where he is engaged in the grain and live stock business. He was township treasurer and school director six years, prior to his election to the twenty-seventh session of the Nebraska Legislature.

JOHN J. TROMPEN.


   JOHN J. TROMPEN is one of the two Republican state senators from Lancaster county, the twentieth district. Was born in Ottawa county, Michigan, and came from his native state to Nebraska in 1874. He was married July 23, 1874, to Jennie Huyser; resides in Hickman, Lancaster county, where he is engaged in grain dealing and farm implement business; also engaged in farming. Mr. Trompen was sheriff of Lancaster county from 1896 to 1899. He is the "long man" of the senate in the present legislative session.

J. R. VANBOSKIRK


   J. R. VANBOSKIRK, state senator from the fourteenth district, comprising the counties of Brown, Keya Paha, Cherry, Sheridan, Box Butte, Dawes, and Sioux is a Republican and was born in the state of Indiana in the year 1850, coming from Iowa to this state in 1871. He resides in the town of Alliance, Box Butte county, is married, and has a family of five children. Mr. VanBoskirk is a ranchman and office man, has not held any public office before being elected to the twenty-seventh session of the Nebraska Legislature.

CHRIST WEBER.


   CHRIST WEBER, Populist member of the state senate from the ninth district, comprising Antelope, Boone, and Greeley counties, was born in Germany, coming to Nebraska from the state of Iowa. He is engaged in the general merchandise business in Spaulding, Greeley county, is married, and has a family consisting of three boys and one girl. Mr. Weber was county commissioner of Greeley county from 1894 to 1898.
