
JAMES BOYD.
JAMES BOYD, representative from the
forty-third district, Nuckolls county, is a populist, and
was born in Broome county, New York, in the year 1847,
coming from Illinois to Nebraska in 1879. He was married in
Henderson county, Illinois, in 1874 to Mary E. Chapman. Mr.
Boyd's present address is Nelson, Nuckolls county. He is a
farmer by occupation, and was sheriff of that county two
terms, from 1895 to 1899.

M. BRODERICK.
M. BRODERICK, Republican, elected from
Clay county, the forty-second representative district, was
born in New York state in the year 1846, and came to
Nebraska from Iowa in 1872. He is engaged in farming and
stock-raising, resides at Fairfield, and has a family
consisting of a wife and three children, one girl and two
boys. Mr. Broderick was a member of the twenty-sixth
session, having been re-elected by his constituents. He is
known as the "lone tree" man from Clay county, the only
Republican who could beat the Fusion forces.
