D. W. HAMILTON.D. W. HAMILTON is one of the Fusion representatives from Butler county, the twenty-eighth district; was born December 19, 1858, hi the state of Pennsylvania, and came from there to Nebraska in 1880. He was married to Sarah E. Stafford in 1880. They have a family of five daughters. Mr. Hamilton is a farmer by occupation, has been justice of the peace, member of the school board, and served one term in the Nebraska Legislature, having been elected in 1897. |
H. H. HANKS.H. H. HANKS, Democratic representative from Otoe county, the sixth district, was born near Nebraska City, March 27, 1872. He now resides in Nebraska City and is engaged in the stock business. Mr. Hanks is single and never before held a public office until elected to serve in this, the twenty-seventh session of the Nebraska Legislature. |
J. E. HARRIS.J. E. HARRIS, is the Republican member of the house of representatives from Buffalo county, the fifty-eighth district, and was raised in Johnson county, Mo. He came to Nebraska in the year 1893, and is engaged in farming, stock-raising, and shipping. His present address is Amherst, Buffalo county; has a wife, six boys, and three girls. Mr. Harris was member of the board of supervisors of Buffalo county for one term, and has held other minor offices. He is always a Republican, and, coming from a close district, takes a little pride in his winning qualities. |
J. E. HATHORN.J. E. HATHORN, elected by the Republicans to the twenty-seventh session of the Nebraska Legislature from Red Willow county, the sixty-fifth representative district, was born in Maine and came to Nebraska from Illinois in the year 1886. Mr. Hathorn is a practicing physician and surgeon in the town of Bartley, has been president of the village council, member of the school board, and U. S. Pension Examiner, also president of the Bartley State Bank. This is Mr. Hathorn's second term in the Legislature, having been re-elected by the people of his district. |
FREDERICK G. HAWXBY.FREDERICK G. HAWXBY, the Fusion representative from Nemaha county, the third district, in the lower house, is a native of Nebraska. He was born in Nemaha City, December 10, 1871. He was formerly a school teacher; but is now studying law. He has been self-supporting for five years as a student at the State University. |
THOMAS E. HIBBERT.THOMAS E. HIBBERT, one of the three Republican representatives from Gage county, the thirty-second district, was born October 18, 1846, in the state of Pennsylvania; came to this state May 1, 1869, taking a homestead, where he still resides. He was married in 1874 to Nannie Ettie and has a family of eight children. Mr. Hibbert is a farmer and has been a member of the district school board, and was supervisor of census for the Fourth district. He enlisted in the War of the Rebellion, August 6, 1862, again in 1863, and was discharged February 6, 1866, serving in the 6th, 1st, 18th, and 24th corps. |
