
GEORGE L. LOOMIS.
GEORGE L. LOOMIS, the Democratic
representative from the fourteenth district, Dodge county,
was born in New York state in 1849 and located in Fremont in
1876, where he has ever since been engaged in the practice
of law. He graduated from the Albany, N. Y., Law School in
May, 1875. Mr. Loomis was married in 1880 to Alice M.
Hadley; they have six children. He was Grand Master of the
Odd Fellows Lodge in Nebraska in 1891 and 1892. He was
elected by 447 majority over his opponent in a district that
gave the McKinley electors 221 majority.

ELLIOTT LOWE.
ELLIOTT LOWE, representative from the
sixty-second district, Harlan county, is a Republican, was
born in England, August 17, 1858, and came to this state
from Iowa in the year 1888, locating at Huntley, where he
now resides. He is married and has one child, a daughter,
born in 1890. Now engaged in grain, lumber, implement,
furniture, and coal business, owns one thousand acres of
land clear, and has twenty-five thousand dollars invested in
business. Mr. Lowe has been member of the school board, town
treasurer, and county supervisor.
