JAMES M. JAMISON.JAMES M. JAMISON, one of the two Fusion members of the lower house from Saunders county, the twenty-seventh representative district, is a native Nebraskan, having been born in Ashland, Saunders county, January 9, 1868. His present post-office address is Valparaiso. He is a farmer and stockraiser. This is his first experience as a legislator, and he has never held any other public office of importance. |
CHARLES T. JOHNSON.CHARLES T. JOHNSON, representative from Douglas county, was elected by the Fusion forces. He was born in Chicago, May 1, 1867, coming from that city to Nebraska the same year with his parents, and has ever since resided in the city of Omaha. His father died when he was seven years of age. Mr. Johnson is engaged in the manufacturing business, and is now having his first taste of public office. |
WILLIAM JORDAN.WILLIAM JORDAN, representative of the Peoples' Independent party from Buffalo county, the fifty-eighth district, in the lower house, was born near Valparaiso, Ind., in the year 1872, coming to Nebraska from that state with his parents in 1879. He is a farmer by occupation, and his present address is Odessa, Buffalo county. Was assessor of Odessa township for two terms and member of the school board of his home district. This is Mr. Jordan's first experience as a legislator. |
FRANK JOUVENAT.FRANK JOUVENAT, Republican member of the lower house from the twenty-second representative district, Boone county, was born in Knoxville, Tenn., October 24, 1855, and located in Nebraska in the year 1879, coming from the state of Indiana. He is married and has a family consisting of a wife, three boys, and one girl. He lives in the town of Petersburg, Boone county, where he is engaged in the banking business. This is Mr. Jouvenat's first legislative experience, having in fact never before held a public office. |
JOHN KAVENY.JOHN KAVENY is the Democratic representative from Butler county, the twenty-eighth district, and was born in Will county, Illinois, in the year 1864, coming to Nebraska from that state in the fall of 1870. He is engaged in farming and stock-raising in his home county, is unmarried, and present address is Linwood, Butler county. Mr. Kaveny was supervisor of Platte township and has been member of the district school board for eight years. |
REGINALD W. LAFLIN.REGINALD W. LAFLIN, member of the lower house from Gage county, the thirty-second district, is a Republican, was born in Houston county, Minnesota, May 18, 1858, coming to this state from Illinois, March 25, 1883. Mr. Laflin is a druggist, residing at Wymore, Gage county; was married in March, 1885, to Elizabeth C. Warner, and has one son by a former marriage. Has been mayor of Wymore two terms, and was clerk of the district court of Gage county for four years. |
