The Penn Mutual LIFE Insurance Company of Philadelphia, Penn.
LYMAN & SCHMIT, GENERAL AGENTS, OMAHA, NEB.

This Company was incorporated in 1847, in Philadelphia and has had a remarkably successful career. It stands foremost as the true exponent of conservative life insurance, bringing safe and sure results to its Policy-holders. THE PENN MUTUAL LIFE guarantees to every member (having completed two annual payments) full value for every dollar paid the Company in some equitable form, either in cash, extension of the original amount insured or in paid up insurance.
The gross assets January 1st 1992, were $18,551,388.30, and these are safely invested in city and railway bonds, stocks and first mortgages. In 1891 this company wrote $22,592,719.00 of new business, making the total outstanding insurance $103,733,251.00. In 1892 nearly $35,000,000.00 of new business will be added.--
THE PENN MUTUAL write all the most approved forms of policies, their contracts being characterized by clearness and freedom from technicalities.
In addition they issue what is known as an "Accumulated Surplus" Semi-Tontine policy, under which plan the dividends, which under ordinary forms of policies would be paid in cash each year, are allowed to remain with she company at whatever interest is realized on its investments until the end of the selected period of 10, 15 or 20 years, when the surplus is apportioned only to the surviving members--those who having died or lapsed before the completion of their Tontine period, forfeiting their dividends in favor of the surviving members having policies of a similar age and kind. This makes an excellent investment for those who complete the number of payments specified in their contract.
THE PENN MUTUAL has also recently added another form of policy known as the "Convertible Term" under which plan insurance is furnished at actual cost for each successive ten years, no reserve being made or required, the funds necessary for that purpose being retained by the insured himself. The rates per $1,000.00 given below are as low, if not lower, than any assessment or fraternal organization, and guarantee absolute security to the insured:

SLEEP ON AIR

A very large part of the physical ailments of civilized men may be traced to bad beds. Heir mattresses have been hold in considerable esteem by many people, but hair mattresses are in many cases powerful provocatives of disease. as the hair. especially in the cheaper grade of mattresses, is taken from dead animals add never properly cleaned. Even the best of hair mattresses, as well as mattresses of excelsior and husk, must from continual use become very unwholesome. The one absolutely pure, clean and permanently wholesome mattress is the AIR MATTRESS. It is made of a strong serviceable texture, of which pure gum forms a sufficiently important element to make it airtight. When filled with air the mattress is strong and firm. and at the same time soft and luxurious to lie upon; and it is as clean and healthful after years of service as. on the first day of its use. It is naturally light and readily portable. This mattress in great variety, besides all manner of Air cushions. may be seen at the office of the
