HAMILTON NESBIT MORROW was born April 6th, 1875, at Ballibay, Pennsylvania, where he grew to manhood. He graduated from the Susquehanna Colegiate (sic) Institute, Towanda, Penn., June 13th, 1895, and the year following was principal of the New Albany High School. September 15th, 1896, he came to Tekamah and after remaining here one year, took up the study of medicine at Rush Medical College, Chicago, Illinois, from which he graduated in 1901. Mr. Morrow came to Tekamah after his graduation and entered upon the practice of his profession, taking a standing at once among those high in the ranks.
Mr. Morrow was united in marriage to Miss Edythe H. Trowbridge, June 10th, 1903.
VALENTINE SCHAEFER was born February 4th, 1848, in Germany. He came to the United States in 1857 and settled in Wayne county, Iowa, where he lived until coming to Oakland, this county, June 12th, 1886. At Oakland Mr. Schaefer practiced as a veterinary surgeon for three years after which he entered the Chicago Veterinary College, graduating in 1891. Prior to taking up the practice of this profession Mr. Schaefer had been a blacksmith. After graduation he returned to Oakland where he practiced his profession until January, 1892, when he went to Ottumwa, Iowa, where he remained until August 16th, 1893, when he became a resident of Tekamah, residing here continuously since that time.
Mr. Schaefer stands very high in his profession, he served for two years as president of the Nebraska Veterinary Association and vice-president of the Missouri Valley Veterinary Association. He has calls to all parts of the state on difficult cases.
Mr. Schaefer was united in marriage August 25th, 1886, to Elizabeth Heilman.
