I am Looking for information on Thompsom C Ruble who m. Margaret Chaplin in 1849. Hillsboro is where it was registered. Is There name of parents are there birth records. Possible Brother was Andrew Ruble who ma. Nancy Welty in 1842.

Looking for information on Allen Chrisman. He married Rebecca Pillers in Pike Co., OH, on Dec. 9, 1852. They had four children: Josiah P., Jacob who married Sela Madeline Wallace, Mary Elizabeth who married Peter McCoy, and Nancy who married Dr. Orlando Cass McAfee. Josiah and Jacob were born in Ohio while Mary Elizabeth and Nancy were born in Clark County, Kahoka, Missouri. Comments:Have access to genealogical information of Highland County, OH, CARPENTER family who originated in Rehoboth, MA. First of the family arrived in 1638 from Southamptom, England, aboard the ship Bevis. Progenitors of the family trace back to John Carpenter, London, England, prior to year 1300. Raymond L. Carpenter-member of Rehoboth Antiquarian Society.

My great grandfather Aaron Chaplin was married to Matilda Josephine Webster in Highland County sometime between 1860 and 1890. They moved to Missouri then to Medford, Oklahoma area shortly after the the land run in 1889. They had a son, Grover(my grandfather)another son, George Everett, and three daughters. My father, Harold, 85 years of age, son of Grover, still resides in Medford. My aunt, Velma, Harold's sister said before her demise, that we had many cousins in Ohio. That is all I know about my family's history. Any help would be greatly appreciated. How can I access birth, death, and any related records that could help in my search?

Her parents moved to Lynchburg, Highland Co, OH, where she lived until her marriage. Their children were Margaret Ann Harris, John Francis Harris, Martha Narzetta Harris, and Samuel Murrell Harris. They removed to KS in 1856. It is known that one John Murrell m: 1 Apr 1822 at Highland Co, OH, Margaret Smith, but no relationship to Nancy Jane Murrell has been established. Bull family name Highland Co., Ohio. My findings go to 1820's, varifiable. Given names Nehemiah , Hezakiah, Andrew McCall, sons of Walter and Margaret Bull. Nehemiah and Hezakiah moved to Scotland Co., Mo. around the 1860's The surname is not common. Would appreciate any info on this family.

re: William Elmer Reeves and Julia (Naylor) Reeves. William and Julia did have a son born to them: Neil L. Reeves b: 07 Mar 1895 d: 21 Jul 1963. Apparently Julia died in childbirth. Who raised Neil? William m: Leah Frances Little in 1898 in Clinton Co., OH. Neil was my father's half-brother whom apparently my father didn't know that he had a half-brother. Ronald Earl Reeves s.o William and Leah Frances Reeves b: 27 May 1900 was my father.

Searching for Richard & Nancy Foster. They came to Highland County after their marriage. Both were born in Bedford County, PA. Had nine kids born in Ohio. Manuel (my Great-Great Grandpa), Elvira, Sylvester, Wealthy, Charity, James M., Asenath, Richard P. and Samantha. Richard and his older son Manuel then moved to Fulton County, IL. around 1850. Then they move to Knox County soon after. Then Sylveter Foster joined his Father and brother IL. in 1851 after serving in the Mexican War.
Would love to exchange information on the family and I have nothing on Richard (father) and his father in PA.

Comments:My relative Daniel Ockerman Sr. moved to Highland County around 1820, he was a Brethren (Dunkard) preacher at the Sinking Springs Congregation. His wife was Elizabeth ?, he died I believe in Highland County between 1823-1826. His son Daniel Ockerman Jr. and siblings moved with the family to Highland County. I am looking for information on the following individuals that I found in the 1830 census for Highland County, Liberty TWP. Reuben RICHARDS, Rawleigh RICHARDS, Dudley RICHARDS and William RICHARDS. My gg grandfather Reuben RICHARDS was born in Illinois in about 1858 but his parents were born in Ohio. The closest thing I have found so far is the 1830 Census connection with Reuben RICHARDS. Reuben RICHARDS in Ohio could be the ancestor of Reuben RICHARDS of Illinois.

Do you have access to the Highland County Census data for 1820 and 1830? If so, would appreciate a lookup for the Stafford families for both years. I believe that my 5th generation grandfather was born after 1800 in Highland and possibly was married to Mary Moffitt in the county. Any help would be appreciated.

John Auckerman (1786-187?) and his wife Annie Dorrethea Shaver (ca1890-1846) married in Va. and arrived in Adams Ct. ca 1811. RICKMAN. I am looking for any information on the RICKMAN family in Highland Co. My ggggrandmother's maiden name was (I believe) Mary RICKMAN. She married a man named William KENDALL (or CANDALL). At some point Mary RICKAM moved to Philothia, OH (Mercer Co.) where my gggrandmother, Mary A. KENDALL, was born. I have also found a death certificate for a Lucinda RICKMAN who died in Hillsboro, OH. in Aug 1913 (born 10 Feb 1849). Does anyone have information on a logging camp accident in Highland County, Ohio on or before Feb 16, 1860? An ancestor of mine, Morris Trout (jr) died on that date in such an accident, and I would like to know if it was reported in the newspapers of that time. His widow was Elizabeth Leeds Trout, and she continued to live in Russell Station, Highland county for a period of time before removing with her family to Jasper county, Iowa.
