on Dec. 9, 1852. They had four children:

Cass McAfee. Josiah and Jacob were born in

My great grandfather Aaron Chaplin was
married to Matilda Josephine Webster in
Highland County sometime between 1860 and
1890. They moved to Missouri then to
Medford, Oklahoma area shortly after the the
land run in 1889. They had a son, Grover(my
grandfather)another son, George Everett, and
three daughters. My father, Harold, 85 years
of age, son of Grover, still resides in
Medford. My aunt, Velma, Harold's sister said
before her demise, that we had many cousins
in Ohio. That is all I know about my family's
history. Any help would be greatly
appreciated. How can I access birth, death,
and any related records that could help in my
search?

Methodist Episcopal Church, and was
baptized in East Fork, a tributary of the Little
Miami River. Her parents moved to
Lynchburg, Highland Co, OH, where she lived
until her marriage. Their children were

Martha Narzetta Harris, and Samuel Murrell
Harris. They removed to KS in 1856. It is
known that one John Murrell m: 1 Apr 1822 at

Both were born in Bedford County, PA. Had
nine kids born in Ohio. Manuel (my
Great-Great Grandpa), Elvira, Sylvester,

P. and Samantha. Richard and his older son
Manuel then moved to Fulton County, IL.
around 1850. Then they move to Knox County
soon after. Then Sylveter Foster joined his
Father and brother IL. in 1851 after serving in
the Mexican War.

and his father in PA.

was a Brethren (Dunkard) preacher at the
Sinking Springs Congregation. His wife was
Elizabeth ?, he died I believe in Highland
County between 1823-1826. His son Daniel
Ockerman Jr. and siblings moved with the
family to Highland County. They moved prior
to 1830, I believe to Clermont County, OH. I

Highland County, Liberty TWP. Reuben
RICHARDS, Rawleigh RICHARDS, Dudley
RICHARDS and William RICHARDS. My gg
grandfather Reuben RICHARDS was born in
Illinois in about 1858 but his parents were
born in Ohio. The closest thing I have found so
far is the 1830 Census connection with
Reuben RICHARDS. Reuben RICHARDS in
Ohio could be the ancestor of Reuben
RICHARDS of Illinois.

believe) Mary RICKMAN. She married a man
named William KENDALL (or CANDALL).
At some point Mary RICKAM moved to
Philothia, OH (Mercer Co.) where my
gggrandmother, Mary A. KENDALL, was
born. I have also found a death certificate for
a Lucinda RICKMAN who died in Hillsboro,
OH. in Aug 1913 (born 10 Feb 1849). Her
father's name was Solomon RICKMAN and
mother's maiden name was Elizabeth
STEWARD; both were from Virginia. If

Does anyone have information on a logging
camp accident in Highland County, Ohio on or
before Feb 16, 1860? An ancestor of mine,
Morris Trout (jr) died on that date in such an
accident, and I would like to know if it was
reported in the newspapers of that time. His
widow was Elizabeth Leeds Trout, and she
continued to live in Russell Station, Highland
county for a period of time before removing
with her family to Jasper county, Iowa. Any
information is greatly appreciated!
