SOME DUGOUTS WERE MODERN
Electric light plant which supplied current for illuminating dugouts occupied by American troops near the River Meuse, France. The picture shows a motor and generator set up for an American division, near Vacherauville.
 
ROCKS FOR ROADS
Stone crusher operated by members of B Company, 28th Engineers, at Trondes, France. It is seen in use at one of the ballast quarries operated by the American army in France. Fight or work, the American boys were always there.
