THE NEW APPORTIONMENT

Under the bill to apportion Representatives in congress among the states under the Federal census of population in 1890, which was approved February 7, 1891 the whole number of Representatives after March 4, 1893 will be 356. Under this law the states will be represented in the lower house of the Fifty-third congress by the number of members stated in the first column, and consequently be entitled to the number of Presidentiad electoral votes stated in the second column below.
