Mr and Mrs. Chas. Kapka came down from Crandon Sunday on business and to call on friends.
James A. Musil was at Milwaukee on business Friday.
Mr and Mrs. Wm. Crow are settled in their new home in the John Carter house on South Grand Avenue.
Mrs. J. C. Ford of Minneapolis came last week to visit her sister, Mrs. Peter Paulson and family.
Mr and Mrs. Wm. F. Schiller attended a dinner and business meeting of the Wisconsin Valley funeral directors' association at Hotel Whiting in Stevens Point Thursday night.
Mrs. Elizabeth Creveire of Antigo who has been visiting her daughter, Mrs. F. W. Schweinler, returned to her home Tuesday.

Elmer Hartnagle and C. R. Elliott drove to Stanley Tuesday to attend a safety meeting of the Northern States Power Company people.
Gerald Anderson, aged 7, son of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Anderson was quite badly hurt Thursday evening after school while playing football with other small boys. His shoulder was badly hurt and it was thought at first that his collar bone was broken, but the x-ray did not show a fracture.

One day last week Leland Bandlow saw a striped snake crawling out of its hole out in the woods. This May indicate mild weather ahead.
Mr and Mrs. Ernest Campbell and family have rented and moved into the Frank Joy house south of the Masonic Temple.
--Royal Neighbor Camp No. 78 will hold a food sale at Eide's Sweet Shop Saturday, Dec. 10th, beginning at noon.
Mrs. A. E. Hardies is back to work at the Farmer's Store after a week of illness.
Mrs. Kate Crandall is at the Neillsville Hospital for treatments, since last week Tuesday.
Frank Hemp's have rented the lower flat of their home to Holt Warren.
Art Kearney of Merrillan was here on a short visit with relatives.
Mr and Mrs. Ed. Heller are settled in the Emma Roessler house on Emery Street.
Mrs. J. Cohen is at the hospital at Madison since Saturday.
The Ladies League of the Cong. Church will meet this Wednesday afternoon at the church.
In a letter to a Neillsville friend Mrs. T. E. Brameld of Milwaukee states that her son, Theodore, is teaching in the University at Long Island, N. Y.
Rollan Hare the north end road policemen was down from Owen Monday.
M. H. Duncan Superintendent of the county asylum and John Servaty were down from Own on business Monday.
--A Band benefit Food Sale will be held at Schiller's Store Saturday, Dec. 17, commencing at 10 a.m.
Cyril Shoe, Hugh Stoffel and Claude Ayers, who have been on a trapping expedition in the northern part of the state, have returned.
Ernest Snyder found a live crow in a trap which someone had set on the Pinecrest Golf course last week. The bird was taken home and almost immediately became as tame as though he had always been in captivity.
Mrs. J. C. Ford of Minneapolis is visiting her sister, Mrs. Pete Paulson.
Ed Lye of Senaca, Ill., was calling on old friends here this week after an absence of 30 years. Mr. Lye who is a druggist, learned his profession in the old Enkhausen and Ascot store. He recently attended the funeral of his mother who had been living in the southern part of the state.
Judge O. W. Schoengarth took the following patients to the general hospital at Madison Saturday; Mrs. Mary Brown, Grant and Mrs. Jacob Cohen, Neillsville.
