My grandmother, Frances Glass Fehr (#9) is pictured below with her Neillsville High School Girls' Basketball Team.
I had to guess at some of the names on the picture below. One of my sisters had this pix of our grandmother, Frances Glass, daughter of Frank G. & Mary Maude Montgomery Glass and her high school girls basketball team. Maybe some of the other members know the other girls' and the coach's names. The Griffith and Bronstad were the only names that remained on the edge of the picture, and the rest I tried to decipher from an enlargement of the picture. This must have been between 1915 & 1920 as she was 18 in the 1920 Neillsville census.
1. Helen Free? 2. Bertha Bronstad 3. "Billie" Crothers? 4. "Gen" Keriam" 5. Mr. Osterndorf 6. "W" Irvine 7. Lillian Shaw? 8. Sylvia Griffith 9. Frances Glass
*The names are a "best" guess. Please respond if you can add clarification to these indentifications.

Hi,
Found picture this is what is under the picture in the 1920 annual:
Bertha Bronstad--Center Evelyn Irvine--L.F. Sylvia Griffth--Capt.R.F. Genevieve Herian--L.G. Marie Crothers--R.G.
Ethelyn Shew--First Sub.
Frances Glass--Second Sub.
Mr. Osterndorf, Coach
There are glass pictures but people are not identified by row. Hope this helps. I tried to identify the girls by looking at a couple different annuals 1.Evelyn Irvine 3. Marie Crothers 7. Ethelyn Shew

Thanks for the help...But, by the signatures on the pix, Evelyn Irvine would be in the second row to the right of the coach. I guess that "W" is "Ev" I had enlarged the picture quite a bit to try and decipher all the signatures. I noticed all the names in the annual included all but "Helen Free"....back row left (#1). I suppose she probably did the score keeping...statistician as they call them nowdays. She would have been a year or two younger than my grandmother, Frances Glass, at that time according to the 1910 census.
Matching names to the signatures, I'd have__
Back Row: 1)Helen Free, 2)Bertha Bronstad, 3)Marie"Millie" Crothers.
Middle Row: 4)Genevieve "Gen" Herian, 5)Mr.Osterndorf, 6)Evelyn "Ev" Irvine.
Front Row: 7)Ethelyn Shew, 8)Sylvia "Silver" Griffith, 9)Frances Glass (Looks like she just signed it "Fran")
