FREMONT GARAGE IS DESTROYED BY FIRE
Automobile Damaged and Tools Burned in Blaze Friday Noon
Mar. 15, 1940 (written in pencil on the clipping)
West Fremont - Fire destroyed the double garage and workshop of Paul Beil, one mile east of Chili, Friday noon and badly damaged an automobile belonging to Beil's son Warren.
Sets of carpenter's and blacksmith's tools and a quantity of paint were also destroyed.
The fire broke out as the Beil family were at dinner, and the only theory regarding its origin is that oil or gasoline from a car on which the men had been working was ignited by a fire kept in the building.
The garage, a substantial structure, was partially insured. No estimate of the total loss was given.
