The bride was attired in a royal blue velvet afternoon gown with matching
accessories and had a single white orchid. Mrs. Grace Byse, sister of the
bridegroom, attended the couple as bridesmaid in a light blue frock with wine
accessories and a crosage bouquet of gardenias. Spencer Scott, brother of the
bride, was best man.
After a wedding breakfast served at Bork's, Mr. Byse and his bride left to a
short motor trip.
Both young people were graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Mrs. Byse
from the scholl of eduation in 1937 and Mr. Byse from the law school in 1938.
While at the university Mrs. Byse was awarded the Vilas medal for her
intercollegiate debating and was a member of Phi Kappa Phi and Delta Sigma Rho.

There was an implement, car dealership named Seif & Byse. Charles Byse was a renowned attorney, Clyde Byse became a professor of law in Harvard, recognized as a master in his profession. His home town was listed at Oshkosh, born in 1910, but May have been of the Byse family of Neillsville. I believe the Seif, Byse business was here in the late 1920s and early 1930s, before Seif & Son became sole owners. Mary Jane Seif, whose husband was Dale Seif, the Son, died last fall, and I don't know of any other living relatives here. Dale and Mary Jane had no children. Dee Zimmerman
