Rental Farm, The First Home of Richard Henry & Beatrice Lillian (Rockwood) McLean
*This farm was rented shortly before the young couple were married, 21 Mar 1925.
Their oldest son, Richard Randall McLean was born in
Neillsville, June 20, 1926. His younger brother, Harley A. was born in
Nekoosa, Wisconsin 3 Feb 1929, but based on the photo below, the family was
still farming in Clark County after his birth. However, by 1930 the
family moved to Nekoosa (city), Wood, Wisconsin and were residents there when the
1930 Census was taken April 7th.
At this point in time, Richard was working as a laborer in the construction
industry and the family was renting a home next to Grandpa "Wallie"
and his second wife, "Jane" / Jennie
