My maiden name is Luethe. My father's paternal grandparents immigrated to the USA from Bern Switzerland in 1776 or about that time. I do not know much about them. I have been told that the spelling was changed slightly when my grandfather was a child. Those grandparents were named Christian and AnnaBarbara. They had one child at the time that they immigrated. His name was Fred.
