My Great Grandfather. He married Pauline Zipfel in Milwaukee, she being his third wife. The child listed as Charles Hannan are two children, Carl, known as Charlie or Chas., and Hannah. When he moved to Clark Co. the Zipfel family followed and farmed in Clark Co. He was a master tailor and professional soldier in Prussia. He was against Bismark in uniting the states in Germany, wanting to keep Prussia independent. This was the reason for his migration to the United States.
