William Wallace Stannard was born April 15, 1844 in Little Genesee, Allegany Co., New York, son of Ansel and Marilla (Hall) Stannard. He married Sarah Ann Cowen on August 14, 1869 in Portage, Wisconsin. Their children were Olive, Clarence, Florence, and William A. Stannard.
