FYI, Seth Daine's parents were the brother and sister, of my great-grandparents, Ebenezer and Catherine Dewitt Daines. Hartley Daines was not English born; he was born in Ohio. I believe his grandfather may have been born there. The spelling of the first name, is Hartley, not Hatley. I believe Alice and Seth had a son, Cyrus, who died of meningitis in the state of Washington.
