Wiedenhoeft, Edythe H. (17 Apr. 1914 - 10 Feb. 1958)

Mrs. Gilbert Wiedenhoeft of Unity, who underwent a heart operation in Minneapolis a year ago, died Monday morning at 4:00 o’clock at her home. Funeral services will be held this Thursday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock at the Trinity Lutheran church at Unity, Wisconsin, Rev. Roy Gustafson of Ogema officiating, and internment will be made in the parish cemetery.

Edythe H. Hardrath was born in the town of Green Grove, Clark county, on April 17, 1914. She received her education there and on October 5, 1932, married Gilbert Wiedenhoeft. He operates a meat market and grocery store in Unity, Wis. Although afflicted with a heart ailment, Mrs. Wiedenhoeft was active in her church and its Ladies Aid Society as well as the Unity PTA and other school activities.

Surviving besides her husband are two children, Gilbert, Jr., and Anita, both at home; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Hardrath of Owen; three brothers, Harold of Unity and Howard and Harold of Atlanta, Ga. One brother, Harvey, preceded her in death.

Funeral services for Mrs. Gilbert Wiedenhoeft were held at the Trinity Lutheran church in Unity last Thursday afternoon, Rev. Roy Gustafson of Ogema officiating, and internment was made in the parish cemetery. Pall bearers were Forrest Johnson, William Schultz, Clifford Carlson, Leon Jost, Corwin Dallman and Harry Mandel. The church choir sang "Some Day He Will Make it Right" and "God Will Take Care of You." Mrs. Ansel Messer was the organist.

Out of town people at the funeral included Mrs. Louise Hardrath, Miss Edna Hardrath of Chicago, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Colipp, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Lange of Milwaukee, Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Lens, Fred Bloohm, Mrs. Frank Panzer of Brownsville, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Kleinfeldt of Oshkosh, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Lange of Stevens Point, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Meyer and daughter, Carol, of Marengo, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Franz of Bloomer, Mrs. Herb Nelson, Mrs. Arthur Nelson, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Sill of Chippewa Falls, Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Wiedenhoeft of Milwaukee, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Krone of Minneapolis, Mr. and Mrs. Halbert Hardrath, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Hardrath of Atlanta, Ga., Mr. and Mrs. Fred Pauls and daughters, Karen and Sandra, of Schofield.

Mrs. Hardrath, Sr., was stricken with a heart attack the past week and was unable to attend the funeral of her daughter, Mrs. Gilbert Wiedenhoeft.
