Davel, Anna Catherine (16 Aug. 1884 - 1952)

LOYAL -- Rites for Mrs. Anna Catherine Davel, 67, who died at 8 P.M. Saturday in St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, will be held at 9 A.M. Wednesday in St. Anthony's Catholic Church.

The Rev. Norbert King will officiate and burial will be made in the parish cemetery (St. Anthony’s Catholic Cemetery, Loyal Township, Clark County, Wisconsin). The body is reposing at the Myer Funeral Home.

Mrs. Davel, the former Anna Dietsche, was born Aug. 16, 1884, in Weekend. Her Marriage to Joseph Davel took place June 2, 1903. She had been a resident of Loyal for 49 years, and was a member of the Royal Neighbors of America, The Catholic Knights, and the Altar Society. Mr. Davel died in 1945.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Sherwood (Helena) Plath, Oshkosh, and Mrs. Margaret Fiegel, Omro; three sons, Alex, Stevens Point; and Barnard and William, Loyal; 17 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three brothers, Frank and Ben, Spencer; and Fred Abbotsford, and a sister, Mrs. Mary Brill, California.

A son and a brother also preceded her in death.
