Kilty, Sharon Kay (Marriage - 27 Aug. 1960)
Miss Sharon Kay Kilty, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald E. Kilty, and Richard Allen Kops, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lester G. Kops, all of Unity, Route 1, were married during a 2:00 p.m. ceremony Saturday in Trinity Lutheran Church at Unity, Wis.
The Rev. Robert Langseth officiated before an altar decorated with gladioli and Mrs. Ansel Messer was organist.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a floor-length gown of Chantilly lace and nylon tulle. Tiers of the tulle and lace formed the back of the bouffant skirt and the bodice was styled by a Queen Anne collar and long sleeves. Her crown of seed pearls held a fingertip-length veil and she carried a bouquet of pink and white pompons.
Mrs. Gerald Kops of Unity, Route 1, was matron of honor and Miss Sandra Kilty was bridesmaid. They wore ballerina-length gowns of chiffon over taffeta and net in Nile green and carried a bouquet of carnations and pompons.
Gerald Kops was his brother’s best man and Roger Kilty was groomsman. Wayne Hendrickson and Elroy Dietman ushered.
A reception was held at Kilty’s Bar and supper was served in the church basement.
Both the bride and groom attended Colby High School. She had been employed at the Abby Café and he by the American Box Board Co. in Colby, Wis. After a wedding trip to southern Wisconsin, the couple will make their home in Colby, Wis.
