Murphy, Eleanor Ann (Marriage - 8 Apr. 1961)
Eleanor Ann Murphy, daughter of Roy G. Murphy of Owen, and Arvin Lavern Langjahr, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arvin Langjahr, Sr., of Unity, exchanged marriage vows Saturday afternoon in the Trinity Lutheran church at Unity, Wisconsin, Rev. R. V. Langseth officiating. Miss Carol Edblom sang "Because" and "O Perfect Love." A wedding reception was held in the church dining hall and a dance was given at the Kolby Pavilion in the evening.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown of white Chantilly lace, the fitted bodice with portrait neckline trimmed with iridescent sequins. The tulle bouffant skirt had lace panels inserted from the waistline to hemline.
The fingertip veil of imported French illusion was attached to a Juliet crown of lace trimmed with sequins and seed pearls. The shower bridal bouquet consisted of red roses and white carnations.
Attending the bride were Miss Patricia Murphy, Stevens Point, as maid of honor, and Miss Grace Murphy of Owen as bridesmaid.
They wore matching frocks of Chantilly lace and nylon net over taffeta. Their crowns of ruffled nylon net were trimmed with seed pearls and each carried a floral arrangement.
The flower girl, Cathy Eron, carried a basket of red rosebuds and white carnations and wore a gown of Chantilly lace and nylon net over taffeta with a white satin cummerbund. Perry Edblom was the ring bearer.
Allis and Neal Langjahr both of Unity, were best man and groomsman, respectively. Bernard Clouse and Harold Langjahr ushered.
