Funeral services for Carl Albert
Peterson, 69, who died of a stroke early Sunday morning, were held
at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Zink Funeral Home. The Rev. Clauder
Vander Stoep, pastor of the Trinity Lutheran church at Unity,
Wisconsin, officiated. Burial was made in the Unity cemetery.
Mr. Peterson was born Sept. 24, 1885 in
Gottenberg, Sweden, where he received his education. On Dec. 11,
1920, he was married to Ina Erickson at Superior. The couple lived
in Unity from 1932 until 1952, and then moved to Abbotsford to make
their home with their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Earl
Kramer.
Pvt. Peterson, who was here on an
emergency leave while his father was ill, was unable to be here for
the funeral. Mrs. Ormasen, a sister, was here for the
rites.
Mr. Peterson is survived by his wife, a
daughter, Mrs. Earl (Ruth) Kramer, Abbotsford; a son, Pvt. Alvin
Peterson, Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo.; a sister, Mrs. John Ormasen,
Superior; and one sister living in Sweden, and four grand
daughters.
A daughter, two brothers, and a sister preceded him in death.
