Street, Neillsville, died Tuesday evening. Funeral services
will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. from the Bergemann Funeral
Home.
Pallbearers were: Edward Barth, Edwin Barth, Oscar Beiler, George La Grander, Harland Meissner and Harold Montag.

Schaefer, Mrs. Nick (? - 1957)
Funeral services were held July 2, for
Mrs. Nick Schaefer, 83, from the St. John’s Lutheran Church
at Neillsville. The Rev. Alfred Schewe officiated. Burial was
made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Herman Tesmer, Wayne
Potter, Harold Prock, Ernest Snyder, Emil Schendel and Warren
Medicke. Flowers were cared for by the Misses Bonnie Lavene,
Luann Shaw and Karen Cottrill.
Out of town relatives attending included: Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Mills and Mattie Schaefer, Owen; Mr. and Mrs. Orin Mills, High Point, N.C.; Mr. and Mrs. Ed Cornell, Oshkosh; Louis N. Schaefer and Mrs. J. O. Cottrill, La Crosse; George Greeler and son, Allen, Marshfield.

The parents of Ida Schaefer were Wilhelm Silkey (24 May 1798-20 Dec 1875) and Johanna Maria Ullmann (17 Feb 1849 in Prussia Germany-21 Dec 1891Lebanon, WI). Ida took her first breath of life the eighth of June, 1874 and her last on at the age of eighty-three in 1957. Her maiden name varied between Zuehlke and Silkey which was likely the Americanized version. Her father was married twice and Ida was born to his second wife, Johanna Ulhman. They married in Dodge County, WI and had 7 children before his death 20 Dec 1875 and Ida was their youngest.

Ida married Nicholas Schaefer (1871-1958) on 2 Apr 1893 in Dodge County, WI. He was3 years older than her, but passed away a year later. They are both buried in the Neillsville City Cemetery, Neillsville, WI.
The son of Nicholas and Ida Silkey Schaefer, Mathew, was born 23 Sep 1894 and died 30 May 1983 in Dodge Co., Wisconsin, at the age of eighty-eight.

Mrs. Schafer was buried in the Neillsville City Cemetery in Pine Grove Twp., Clark County, Wis. Her first name was Ida; she was born in 1874 and died in 1957.

I found two Nick and two Mary Schafer/Schaffers. The one I wanted was buried St. Mary's as was her husband and son Lester. Her maiden name was Camper/Kamper.
