Neuenfeldt, William F. (1892 - 1961)
GREENWOOD, CLARK COUNTY--William F. Neuenfeldt, 68, retired Clark County Newspaper publisher, died of a heart ailment Tuesday, Feb. 22, 1961 at 7:15 p.m. at his home here.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 9:30 a.m. at the Hill Funeral Home and at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church. The Rev. Edward Hartung will officiate and burial will be made in the Greenwood Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Hill Funeral Home beginning this evening. A general rosary service will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday.
Mr. Neuenfeldt was born in Marshfield Sept. 3, 1892, and was married to the former Mabel O Connell there in 1912. He was a resident of Greenwood for 44 years and owned and operated the Greenwood Gleaner until 1945, when he was succeeded by his son, Albert, the present publisher. Mr. Neuenfeldt previously had owned and edited the Loyal
Tribune at Loyal, where he lived after his marriage, until coming to Greenwood.
He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and its Holy Name Society.
He is survived by his wife four sons, Charles, Spencer; James, St. Paul, Minn. Albert and Gerald, both of Greenwood a sister, Miss Anna
