Alphonse Nicholas "Ollie" Haderer

Weston, Clark County, Wisconsin

"Ollie" was the son of Anton Wendel and Catherine "Kate" (Linster) Haderer who married 4 May 1897.  The Haderer family were early settlers in Weston Twp., Clark Co., Wis.  Ollie was born 23 Jan 1898 in Wisconsin and his nickname originated with his mother's brother, Ollie Linster of Greenwood, WI. 

He worked as a teller in the Commercial State Bank, which is believed to have been also referred to as the Dairy Exchange Bank, which had a special interest in serving the commercial and agricultural development within Clark County.  By 1930, he was working as a letter carrier for the United States post office.

As of the 1930 Census, Ollie was unmarried.  He died 29 Mar 1966, in Neillsville, Wis. and is buried in the "Gate of Heaven" cemetery in Marshfield, Wis. where his father was also buried.

Some of this is confirmed below: There is an online Tree which says

Anton b. 1873 Lincoln Twp WI, d. 1924 Marshfield WI, buried Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Marshfield.  This would mean he and Catherine "Kate" divorced since she is married to William Schultz in 1910. 

I don’t know if he died or they divorced, but she is listed as "Katherine Schultz - Divorced" in 1920.  The same Tree shows Anton & Catherine married 4 May 1897. 

It shows Catherine b. 1879, d. 1945 Marshfield, buried in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

Frank married Mary Josephina ECKES about 1891 they had 12 children.

Christa Small, 91, of 407 N. Section St., Nekoosa, died Thursday, July 28, 2005, at Edgewater Haven Nursing Home in Port Edwards.

Funeral services will be held Monday at the Nekoosa United Church of Christ. Burial will be in Mound Cemetery in Pittsville.

Christa was born Dec. 28, 1913, in Oak Harbor, WA, to Jens and Christina (Jensen) Sorensen. She married DeWitt Small on Sept. 3, 1933, in Ocheyedan, IA. He died April 23, 2003. She and her husband farmed in Pittsville from 1949 to 1965 before moving to Nekoosa.

She is survived by two children, Alice (James) Hederer of Torrance, CA, and Roger (Nan) Small of Nekoosa; two grandchildren, Cameron and Barry Small; five great-grandchildren, Sara, Alex, and Jessy Doering, Rachel Kelley and Kaitlyn Small; four great-great-grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; and six stepgreat-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; son, Jimmy Small; grandson, James Doering; two sisters, Ettla Morfitt and Pearl Thomas; and two brothers, Theodore and Andrew Sorensen.

Feldner/Ritchay Funeral Home in Nekoosa helped the family.

Todd M. Hederer, age 39, of 10108 West Ives St, Marshfield, and formerly of Torrance, CA, died on Tuesday, May 25, 2004, at the home of his parents in Marshfield, after a two-year courageous battle with cancer.

Todd was born Jan. 26, 1965, in CA, the son of James and Mary Hederer. He was educated in Marshfield schools.

He is survived by Mary and Dale Mitchell of Marshfield and by James and Alice Hederer of CA. He is also survived by sisters and brothers, Darla Hederer of CA, Diane Hederer of Marshfield, Peg (Doug) Bernitt of Auburndale, Jeffrey (Teresa) Hederer of VA and Jim J. Hederer of CA. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

James Doering, 46, of 407 N. Section St., Nekoosa, died Monday, Feb. 28, 2005, at his home.

Memorial services will be Saturday at Nekoosa United Church of Christ. Burial will be at a later date in Mound Cemetery in Pittsville.

James was born July 30, 1958, in Marshfield to Arnold and Alice (Small) Doering.

Survivors include three children, Sara, Alex and Jessey; one grandson; his mother, Alice (James) Hederer of Torrance, CA: his father, Arnold Doering, in IL; and his grandmother, Christa Small of Port Edwards.

Feldner/Ritchay Funeral Home of Nekoosa is assisting the family.
