(Owens-Benware) Barton Mary married Josephine's widower, Anton Barton, in 1894.
Anton adopted Ernest and Leo in 1898. He was a blacksmith. Anton died in
1925 and is buried in Neillsville, WI. Mary moved out to the coast and
bought a little house in Arletta, WA. There was a huge field of
Loganberries at the place. She visited often. Her last illness was at our
home. She was bedridden for about 6 months and being a very proud woman,
she wouldn't let any of the boys or dad in her room to see her...just
Virginia or her mother. She was my mom's favorite person!! She is buried
in the spanaway Cemetery. Memories by
