Lucinda Hancock was born in Vermont in 1811 and became the wife of Alanson Head, Sr. who was a native of New York.

According to the Clark Co., WI death record vol. 5, page 629, their son, Alanson Head, Jr., was born in April,1856 and died November 2, 1909 in Neillsville, Wisconsin at the age of 56 years, 6 months and 0 days.  Effner Nelson of Ladysmith, Wisconsin served as the informant and Dr. E. L. Bradbury listed the cause of his death as "Hydrocardia".

Researchers Notes

 

The 1860 census shows A. (Alanson) B. Head, Lucinda and their kids Theodore, Orill (a), Lois and Alanson living in Eaton, Monroe County.  Son Joel, his wife Almira and their kids Rosa (who married Frank Burgess) and Laura are listed in Little Falls.  Richard & Marjorie Gallaher.

 

Joel Head purchased property from W. S. Payne & wife in the form of a Warranty Deed (Vol. 14, pg. 58) in the A. K. Stafford Addition to the Village of Neillsville, Wisconsin.
