Mandel Family of Clark Co., WI

My maternal Great Grandparents, David and Barbara Mandel, and Grandparents Alfred and Lena Mandel are all buried in the Beaver Township Cemetery, Clark Co., WI.  They Owned and operated Mandel Cheese factory which was located about 2 miles south of where they rest. The Mandel family made cheddar cheese and we some of the first to make Colby cheese.  Previous to this, they owned and operated one of Wisconsin's first lumber camps.

My Grandfather Alfred Mandel called his cheese factory the Blue Moon Cheese Factory, once he showed me an old wood calendar with a painted scene on it that he gave farmers at Christmas time when he picked up their milk, on it was a photo of his factory along with his name.

My Great Uncle and Aunt, Frank and Hattie Brecker are also buried there.
